The EM Learning Library provides primary and secondary basic education for youth and adults that are functionally illiterate or lacking a high school credential (GED).
EM2 Interactive strives to provide the highest level of service to its customers, help its customers meet their goals of educating those in need of a new beginning, and will maintain a current and interesting set of lessons, exercises, and tests in adult education and GED preparation.
EM Learning Library lessons and tests cover the fundamental foundation skills of primary math, reading, and writing skills; secondary math, reading, writing, science, and social studies skills; life skills, such as personal finance; and critical thinking skills. Future offerings may include safety, computer, and language training lessons.
Lesson features include interactive exercises, animation, detailed feedback, learning games, and printable practice sheets. Content is written on a third grade level with clickable “hotwords” that link to a glossary of important vocabulary. Lessons take a practical approach to content; the student is told why the content is important and real life examples are included.
Pre-tests automatically create a custom curriculum for the student to follow – optimizing his/her time spent. This is critical since many students will have barriers to training that they will need to overcome, such as finding child-care; balancing training time with work, job-hunting, or other training; or finding transportation to the organization that is providing access to the courseware.
Instructors and/or mentors are able to track student progress, assign courseware or follow-up work to students, and communicate with students about their progress or answer their questions using a feature-rich Learning Management System (LMS).
Administrators will be able to track both instructor activity and end-user progress.
On-site or telephone training provides instructors and administrators with hands-on operation of the lessons, tests, and LMS. Best practices are also shared.
Toll-free telephone and e-mail support for students, instructors, and administrators is available during normal business hours, and every effort is made to return after-hours calls early on the next business day.
